DATA CITATION POLICY

REQUIRED DATA CITATION POLICY (For the Provincial Competitiveness Index - PCI and Provincial Green Index - PGI Datasets)

1. Data Ownership The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) is the implementing and managing agency, and the sole and legal owner of the original datasets of the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) and the Provincial Green Index (PGI) since their inception.
2. Purpose of the Policy This policy is established to protect the property rights and copyright of VCCI, while ensuring transparency and standardization in academic research by accurately acknowledging the role of the Owner (VCCI) as well as the technical contributions of the expert team responsible for data harmonization.
3. Scope of Application Any individual, organization, researcher, student, media agency, or third party who downloads, uses, analyzes, or references the PCI/PGI datasets for academic papers, research reports, media publications, or any other purposes, is strictly required to cite the source according to the format specified below.
4. Standard Citation Format (Required) Users must copy the exact format below into the References section of their works:

5. Prohibited Actions

• No alteration of the owner: It is strictly prohibited to change the position of VCCI or replace VCCI with the names of other individuals/organizations in the position of Author/Owner of the dataset.
• No unauthorized institutional additions: It is strictly prohibited to arbitrarily include the names of universities, research institutes, or organizations without legal ownership rights into the original citation format of this property.
• Commercial exploitation: Any act of resharing, repackaging, exclusive distribution, or commercial exploitation of this dataset on other platforms without the prior written consent of VCCI is a violation of this policy and intellectual property rights.
